Day One : Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains to Kasbah Des Caids
4.5 Hours of Driving with stops to break up the drive.
Morning
Departure from your riad or hotel in Marrakech.
Drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with scenic viewpoints and optional coffee stops along the way.
Late Morning
Guided visit of Aït Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed earthen ksar.
Explore historic alleyways, caravan routes, and panoramic viewpoints while learning about traditional mud-brick architecture and desert trade routes.
Lunch
Lunch near Ouarzazate at a relaxed kasbah-style or garden restaurant.
Afternoon
Visit the Ouarzazate film studios.
Walk through monumental outdoor sets and sound stages used in international films and series, offering insight into Morocco’s role in global cinema.
Late Afternoon
Continue south into the Draa Valley.
The landscape transitions into palm groves, adobe villages, and historic ksour along Morocco’s longest oasis corridor.

Arrival at Kasbah des Caïds in Tamnougalt.
Sunset walk through the ancient ksar and surrounding oasis.

Day Two : Kasbah Des Caids to Merzouga Sahara Dunes

Departure through the Draa Valley, passing palm groves, fortified villages, and desert plateaus.

Lunch en route in a local town or oasis stop.
Afternoon
Arrival in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Transition from vehicle to camel or 4×4 for the journey into the desert.
Sunset
Camel ride or 4×4 transfer across the dunes at golden hour.
Evening
Arrival at the luxury Sahara desert camp.
Traditional dinner under the stars, followed by music and a fire in the dunes.
Overnight in a private desert tent.
